 Judy Carapella, 60, of Clay, passed away Friday at home with her brothers and sister at her side.
Born and raised in Syracuse, Judy was a 1971 Graduate of Syracuse University receiving a B.S. in Mathematics. For over 10 years, she held the position of Senior Systems Analyst with National Grid in Syracuse retiring in 2008. A parishioner of Our Lady of Pompei Church, Judy’s true love was her family and close friends. She also enjoyed spending time gardening. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching the Yankees as well as the Syracuse Chiefs. She is predeceased by her parents Michael and Helen (Barnello) Carapella.
Judy is survived by 3 Brothers: John M (Patty) Carapella of Liverpool, Michael (Betsy) Carapella of Dewitt, Rick (Kay) Carapella of Cicero. Also surviving are a nephew: Matthew and 4 Nieces: Christa, Carrie, Cayla, and Caitlin. She will also be sadly missed by the family dog Pete.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday at 10:00am from the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners and 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei Church. 301 Ash St. Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-7, at the funeral home 3541 Route 31 Baldwinsville.

I was so surprised to see this! I worked with Judy years ago at MONY and always enjoyed having her as one of the team, but we lost touch after that. She was always so positive, spunky, and proud of her brothers. Way too young to lose her!
