George N. Jaquin, 76, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully Wednesday at Van Duyn Home & Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Syracuse. George retired as a supervisor for Dupli Graphics. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, member and past commander of Baldwinsville VFW Post#153. He enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening.
George was predeceased by his wife of 54 years Anne Thurston Jaquin on August 28, 2009. Surviving are his children, Patrick (Cheryl) Jaquin of Fargo, ND, Jon (Jill) Jaquin of Oswego, Mary (Rick) Wilcox, Jeanne (Steve) Paskell, Kathleen (Thomas) Lell all of Baldwinsville, grandchildren, Sarah (Keith) Wilcox Goessl, Riley Jaquin, Stephen Paskell Jr., Scott (Adrienne) Paskell, Sgt. Richard Wilcox III, John Lell, David Lell, Jared Jaquin, four great-grandchildren, brothers William (Marylou) Jaquin and Norman (Pat) Jaquin.
Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. Friday March 5, 2010 with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool. Private burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Contributions may be made in George’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204-1361.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have great memories of your parents as we grew up on Daywood Drive. I hope my parents and yours are sharing a few more laughs in heaven.

Patrick,Mary Ann,Jeanne,Kathy,Jon and your wonderful families, we are saddened to learn of your Dad's passing. He now is with your Mom, both in a happier place, once again.
