Anthony Joseph Pascale Sr., 87, of Liverpool, passed away quietly on Friday at Menorah Park with his loving family by his side.

Born on the North Side of Syracuse to Aniello and Rose Pascale, Tony, also known as “Big T”, attended North High School where he played football. As a founding member of the Liverpool Athletic Booster Club, Tony was inducted into the Liverpool High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Tony was also a member of the Italian American Athletic Club as well as several bowling and softball leagues. He loved dancing and horseback riding. He coached the Christ the King softball team for 15 years.

As a mason contractor, Tony helped with the build – out of several family businesses including Pascale’s Liquors in Liverpool and Pascale Wine Bar and Restaurant in Syracuse. For many years he worked with his wife Millie and children at the Liverpool store, stocking shelves and waiting on customers. Tony’s brother Andrew Pascale Sr. of Liverpool died just a few hours after Tony’s passing.

Tony is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carmella “Millie” Callura Pascale, his brother Andy’s wife, Dorothy Pascale of Liverpool; three sons, Neal (Debra) Pascale of DeWitt, Chuck (Lynne) Pascale of Manlius, Anthony Jr. (Charisse) Pascale of Baldwinsville;, a daughter Joanne (Anthony) Vincent of Baldwinsville; five grandsons, four granddaughters, many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. Monday July 19, 2010 at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 Rt. 31, Baldwinsville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday July 20, 2010 at Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool with entombment to follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Mausoleum, Clay.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter, alz.org/centralnewyork.

My Sincere Condolences goes out to the Pascale Family. So sorry to read about Tony. He has been a Family friend for years and will be missed by all that knew him. He was a wonderful man with a Great Smile.God Bless You Tony.

Although I was out of town and unable to personally pay my respects to the Pascale family, I was saddened to learn that Anthony Pascale, Sr. has passed away. He left a proud heritage and legacy that is manifested in the lives of his family who have worked so well together to enhance and brighten our community.
