Brenda M. Harper-Bucklaew, 68, of Clay, passed away Sunday at Francis House surrounded by family and friends.

She was born in Syracuse. Brenda was an avid bowler at the Syracuse Bowling Center and Bowl Inn. She was predeceased by her first husband Duane Harper, father Harold Arnold and her daughter Susan Harper.

Surviving are her husband Wray Bucklaew, daughters, Jean Argus of Mattydale, Heidi Harper of Baldwinsville, mother, Elizabeth Arnold of Phoenix, NY, brother, Paul Arnold of Charlevoix, MI, life long friend Patricia Dunn, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday July 28, 2010 at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 Rt. 31 Baldwinsville. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday July 29, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Clay.

Contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13208 or the Humane Association of CNY, 4915 ½ W. Taft Rd., Liverpool, NY 13088.

To Heidi & Jean: We learn so much from our mothers, sometimes it is hard to remember it all. I will remember your mom and her love of family/friends, fun and a good tan!
