Obituary

Aarne E. Oksa, 88, formerly of Liverpool, NY and currently residing in Albany, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19, 2023 after a short illness. He was born in Middle Grove, NY and proudly served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Aarne was employed as an Independent Educational Sales Representative. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers and Syracuse University sports fan. He is predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Joan (Dicks) Oksa and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his children; Thomas (Nancy) Oksa of Nashua, NH, Amy Oksa (Leslie Ross, sons; Kirk and Kyle Ross) of Dickinson, ND, Heidi (Charles) LaLone of Cicero, NY,  grandson, Alexander, brother, Carl Edholm and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are many special people in Albany, NY; Barbara, friends at Ohav Sholom Apartments, CVS Pharmacy and Capital City Diner.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second St. Liverpool, NY, with funeral services to follow at 12:00 pm. The Rite of Committal and burial will take place in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
