Alice E. (Spangenburgh) Smith, 94, of Liverpool, NY, has gone to her beloved husband Jerry and her Lord and Savior, both of whom she loved dearly. She was born in Sodus Point, NY, daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Gladys (Baker) Spangenburgh. Alice grew up in Syracuse and had resided in Liverpool since 1959. On May 22, 1953, she was united in marriage to Jerome H. Smith, a blessed union of 67 years. Alice worked as an Inspector for General Electric in Liverpool, NY. Her focus was her family and cherished time spent together. She was an avid reader and enjoyed going for walks. If you knew Alice, you were lucky to receive one of her beautiful greeting cards for any occasion. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. Alice was a longtime member of Liverpool First United Methodist Church in Liverpool. She is predeceased by her husband, Jerome H. Smith, twin brother, Kenneth Spangenburgh, sister, Mary Anne Gansert and brother, Paul Spangenburgh.

Surviving are her two daughters, Roxanne (Tom) Sakowski of Spring Hill, FL and Diane (Douglas) Carrick of Cicero, NY, her son, Ken (MaryJo) Smith of St. Cloud, FL, five grandchildren; Holly (Aaron), Amanda (James), Kristie (Nate), Shane (Amanda) and Katie (Michael), 11 great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Clara Cooper and Phyllis Smith, brother-in-law, Gerald Lavy several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second St. Liverpool, NY 13088. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY.
