Aline M. Hughes, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed peacefully on October 31, 2025. Born in Buffalo, New York on May 13, 1930, Aline was the cherished daughter of Antonio and Laura (Godin) Major. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, David E. Hughes, with whom she shared many joyful years.

Aline's legacy lives on through her loving family: Sharon J. (Gary) Smits, Michael D. Hughes, and Dale E. (Joseph) Hughes-Gianetto. Proud grandmother to Megan J. Smits, Ryan C. (Kayla) Shattuck, Kegan P. (Samantha) Shattuck, and Brynn L. (Charles) Shamp, and treasured great-grandmother to Nehemiah R. Shamp, Edynn A. Shamp, Charlotte E. Shamp, and Finnegan B. Shattuck.

The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the caregivers of The Cottages at Garden Grove, Cicero, New York, for their dedication and compassionate care.

A memorial service to honor Aline's life will be held at the Clarence Global Methodist Church on November 22, 2025, at 11:00 am.  Aline will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
