Amy Christine
Shelton
July 8, 1968 – August 1, 2023
Amy Christine Shelton, 55, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Born on July 8, 1968 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of William and Gail Walker. Amy was an amazing mother and wife who valued her family, a sounding board to many, she always found a way to put others first. To her, family went beyond blood, the love she had for friends and neighbors was palpable. A lover of all seasons, she enjoyed spending time on the deck and admiring her flowers when it was warm or watching Hallmark movies and relaxing by the fire in the winter. Whether it was a cosmo or a cranberry juice and water, she always had a drink in her hand. Amy enjoyed live music, football Sundays, and cheering on the New York Rangers and New York Yankees.
Over the past 11 years, Amy battled two separate cancers with grace, dignity and a determined fighting spirit. She never complained or let people know how tough things really were, always putting on a "game face." Her perseverance and resilience will live on for generations to come. Amy is predeceased by her father William (Bill) Walker, father-in-law, Jerry Shelton, sister, Jan Parkes, brother, Jeffery "Jeff" Walker, and brother-in-law, Andrew "Andy" Shelton.
In addition to her mother Gail, she is survived by her loving husband, Greg of more than 33 years, her two children; son, Ryan (Alli) of Valencia, PA and daughter, Jenna (Kevin) of Clifton Park, NY, siblings; Alan (Jane) Walker of Alpharetta, GA, Michael (Tricia) Walker of Geneseo, NY, brother-in-law, William Parkes of Clifton Park, NY, mother-in-law, Ruth Shelton of Hague, NY, and sister-in laws, Karen (Faust) D'Andrea and Kathryn Shelton, both of Saratoga Springs, NY. She was "Aunt Mimi" to her many nieces and nephews.
