Annette Elaine
(Higgs) Fick
February 22, 1937 – September 19, 2025
Annette Elaine Fick, 88, of the Village of Liverpool passed peacefully at home on Friday, September 19, 2025. She was born in Syracuse, NY on February 22, 1937, daughter of the late Donald and Bernice (Sitterly) Higgs. Annette graduated from Central High School and continued her education at Central City Business School. In 1957, she married the love of her life, Nicholas Fick. After raising their three children she went back to work at Kelly Services, helping her friends find the best jobs ever! She was also an active member of Jaycettes. (Jr. Chamber of Commerce)
Annette and Nick loved to travel and did often especially after their daughter Ticia started working for US Air. They traveled many times to visit their son Rod and his wife Linda and their grandsons in South Africa. They spent many summer days and nights at their cottage on beautiful Chaumont Bay. Annette loved the sun and reading by the serene waters of Lake Ontario. She will be deeply missed by many including her Berean Calvary Church family, her Liverpool Friday night dinner friends and her Monday night friends at Cinephile. She was blessed with six wonderful grandchildren and five great grandchildren; Annette always knew the latest news about their life's adventures. She is predeceased by her husband Nick, her brother, Richard Higgs and her son Roderick (Linda).
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Randall (Emma) Fick of Port Charlotte, FL and Leticia (David) Fergot of Liverpool, NY; six grandchildren, Reese (Sally) Fick, Sara (Ben) Galbreath, Levi and Samuel Fergot and Mika and Jordan Fick and also five great grandchildren.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc, 300 Second St. Liverpool, NY 13088, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 pm. Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Onondaga County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Rd. Syracuse, NY.
