Anthony Paul
Gullen, Sr.
March 8, 1944 – April 21, 2025
Anthony "Tony" Paul Gullen, Sr., 81, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 8, 1944, in Malone, NY, he was the beloved son of the late Chester and Luella Gullen.
Anthony served his country with pride in the United States Army from 1961 to 1967 and continued his service in the Army National Guard until 1974. He was a proud member of the American Legion and a true patriot.
He dedicated 45 years of service as a First Ladleman at Crucible Specialty Metals, where he was deeply respected for his work ethic, loyalty, and the camaraderie he shared with his colleagues.
A man of quiet strength and unwavering kindness, Anthony was the heart and soul of his family, their guiding light and proud patriarch. His greatest passions were rooted in what mattered most; his family, his pets, and his work. Anthony will be remembered as a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His kindness, wisdom, and the warmth of his presence touched all who knew him. His memory will forever be cherished and honored by the family he loved so dearly and the many lives he enriched along his journey.
He is predeceased by his eldest son, Tony Gullen Jr. and his sisters, Edith Crowfoot and Tina Wolfe.
Anthony leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Betty Gullen; two sons, Chester (Colleen) Gullen and David (Stephanie) Gullen; his cherished daughter, Marlene Hartranft; his three sisters, Maureen Sensenich, Mary Mitchell, and Delight Simon; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life, and also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his family, Anthony is survived by his best friend, Paul Tomachesky—a friend and brother not by blood, but by choice, whose lifelong bond with Anthony was a source of strength, laughter, and unwavering loyalty.
