Obituary

Arlene May (Howard) Parrotta, 93, of Cicero, NY passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, with family at her side. She was born in Waterloo, NY the daughter of the late Miles O. and Florence A. (Gates) Howard. Arlene grew up in Liverpool, NY and graduated from A.V. Zogg High School. In 1953, she was united in marriage to John P. Parrotta, a blessed union of 18 years until his passing in 1971. Arlene was employed as a Sales Associate for KidCo and later Hills department store. Family was the focus in her life. Arlene was the Matriarch of her family. After losing her husband at a young age, she raised six children with help of her loving siblings. Arlene was determined to make sure her children did not go without. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Arlene also loved to knit and crochet, creating many beautiful keepsakes for family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, John Peter Parrotta, daughter, Cynthia Lou Parrotta and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her children; Joseph (Kathy) Parrotta, John Parrotta, Terry (Bill) Davis, Miles (Tammy) Parrotta, Thomas (Jodie) Parrotta, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 10:30 am in Sacred Heart Church, 8229 Brewerton Road, Cicero, NY 13039. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
