Barbara Lynch, 95, of Memphis, NY, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023 surrounded by her family at home. She will be remembered for her bright smile, love of books and human spirit. Barbara with Richard, her husband of 75 years, cherished the times they spent with their children and grandchildren at their home on Seneca River and at their camp in the Adirondacks.

Barbara was born in Syracuse and was a 1946 graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy. She later earned a B.A. from Syracuse University.  While raising her 5 children, she was a leader for Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.  She was an active member of the Plainville Christian Church where she taught Sunday School, served as Treasurer, and as a lay minister.  She worked at Coca-Cola Co., Brinks, Jordan-Elbridge High School, and SU for the Student Association.  She was of a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed ice skating with the Golden Skate Club until she was 87.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Richard Lynch and 5 children; Wendy Lynch (Gary Margolis), Eugene "Bub" Lynch, Audrey (Jim) McNickol, Ken (Michele) Lynch, and Marty Lynch, thirteen grandchildren; Jesse Lynch, Sam Margolis (Shannon O'Brien), Ari (Josh) Moulton, Miranda (Teru) Lynch, Colin (Angela) Lynch, Shawn Lynch (Katherine Filchak), Paige McNickol, Connor Lynch, Megan Lynch, Abbie McNickol, Zach Lynch, Gavin Lynch and Natalie Lynch.  She was blessed with 3 great-granddaughters; Jackson Moulton, Carter Moulton, and Kennedy Barbara Lynch.

There will be no calling hours. A private celebration of life and burial will be held later this year.

The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers that provided such loving care for Barbara in her home over the past several months.
