Barbara A. "Barb" Muller, 88 of Liverpool NY, passed away on Wednesday, surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 30, 1933, in Rochester, NY, she was a 1951 graduate of East High School. She attended Alfred State University for Medical Secretarial studies, and then transferred to Rochester Business Institute, where she graduated in 1953. Barb retired from the Director's Office of the Onondaga County Public Library in 1988. Barb married her sweetheart Wes, whom she shared many happy memories with for 55 years. Barb and Wes enjoyed the winter months at their home in Clearwater, FL and summers at their family cottage in Henderson Harbor, NY.
She enjoyed cheering for her grandkids at sporting events and spending time with family at the lake. Every Friday, Barb and her friends took up the corner table at the Gardenview Diner for breakfast. Whether tending to her flowers, playing cards or dominoes, or listening to the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Barb relished every moment.
Barb was predeceased by parents James Mitchell and Loretta Mitchell Wyand, husband Wesley G. Muller and brother James R. Mitchell.
Barb is survived by her children Patricia Salis (Kevin Bryant), Mitchell (Diane) Muller, and John (Cynthia) Muller; sister Joyce Manley and sister-in-law Kathy Mitchell; grandchildren Erin (Nathan) Smith, Wesley (Victoria) Salis, Jessica Muller, Jennifer (Shayne) Roach, Stephen (Marina) Muller and Chloe Muller; great-grandchildren Lillian and Claire Smith, Wesley and Edith Salis, Carter Roach, and Colton Muller, along with several nieces and nephews.
Barb will forever lovingly be remembered for her genuine kindness, warm conversations, radiant smile, and homemade cinnamon applesauce. She valued and put love into everything she did, including her strong friendships and commitment to family. Barb set an example of calm strength and humility, and spread her wealth of life's wisdom which will impact her family for generations to come.
At Barb's request, there will be no calling hours and services will be private.
