Barbara J. Olin, 79, of Memphis, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday at home. Barbara was born in Syracuse and was a 1959 graduate of Cathedral Academy Syracuse.  After graduating Barbara studied at St. Joseph's Infant Home in Troy, NY which prepared her for the Nursery at St. Mary's Hospital in Syracuse where she cared for newborn babies.  She spent many years raising her five children while working alongside her husband in their business Memphis Construction, Inc.  Barbara also worked as a licensed Real Estate Agent.  She enjoyed volunteering over the years in the Jordan-Elbridge school district and at Community General Hospital.  Barbara also enjoyed traveling, golf, walking, gardening, decorating, shopping, visiting the Rosamond Gifford Zoo and spending time with her family.  She was a parishioner of Holy Family Church.

Barbara is predeceased by her husband of 58 years Duane C. Olin in 2020 and her parents, Kenneth and Veronica (Hohm) Caveny.

Barbara is survived by her two sons, Bradford (Jennifer) Olin and Brian (Cindy) Olin; three daughters, Michele (Kenneth) Lynch, Kristin (Nicholas) Caringi, and Kolleen Sulli; thirteen grandchildren, Ashley Olin, Colin (Angela) Lynch, Shawn Lynch, Erin Olin, Malorie Olin, Kaitlin Caringi, Griffin Olin, Megan Lynch, Allison Green, Kyle Caringi, Shane Olin, Tanner Olin, and Reagan Sulli. She is also survived by her sister Carolyn Caveny, brother Patrick Caveny and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 10:00 am in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Drive, Syracuse, NY 13219.  The Rite of Committal and Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery Warners, NY.

The family would like to thank Hospice of CNY and the wonderful caregivers that provided such loving care for Barbara in her home over the past 16 months.
