Obituary

Barry W. Bullis, 78, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away on Wednesday at home after an extended illness. He was born in Goshen, NY to the late Floyd and Virginia (Parker) Bullis. Barry grew up in Malone, NY, attending Franklin Academy High School. He completed his education receiving his Associate's Degree from Hudson Valley Community College. After graduating, Barry entered the US Army and served in the US National Guard for 8 years. On July 25, 1970 he was united in marriage to the former Alyce J. Lord. The couple resided in Albany, NY where Barry worked for Parsons, Brinckerhoff, Quade and Douglas before coming to Syracuse in 1973. Barry was previously employed as a Manager for Ridge Ed Pipeline, Inc. and was a Project Engineer for Olin Construction. He retired after serving 16 years as the Supervisor of the Town of Lysander. Barry was very active in community events and charities. As well as being a business owner, he was the Republican Party Chair and a Deacon at church. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Optimist Club as well as an avid SU basketball and football fan. Barry loved being with his grandchildren and cherished time relaxing at the lake. He is predeceased by his brother, F. Ronald Bullis and his granddaughter, Olivia Grace Bullis.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Alyce J. Bullis of Baldwinsville, NY, three sons, Barry Jonathan (Dawn) Bullis of Dakar, Senegal, Aaron (Leslie) Bullis and Jason Paul (Nicole) Bullis both of Baldwinsville, NY, 7 grandchildren, Natalie, Sera, Brayden, Ryan, Ava, Gavin and Cameron, sister, Bettyan V. (Mark) Rinefierd of Burnt Hills, NY, brother, Kevin J. (Terry) Bullis of New Holland, PA, sister-in-law, Mary Bullis of Fl, many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in First Presbyterian Church of Baldwinsville, 64 Oswego Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027, with funeral services to follow at 12:00 pm.
