Beverly J. Penny, 69, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at home. Bev grew up in the West End of Syracuse but lived in the Liverpool and Baldwinsville area in recent years.

Bev enjoyed time with family and friends very much. She loved entertaining family and friends for holidays and special occasions. In her free time, she especially enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, a hobby she shared with her mother, as well as a love for Lifetime and Hallmark television.

Bev is predeceased by her husband, John C. Penny, and parents, Gordon and Helen Casey, where her gentle and compassionate nature shined while caring for each when they fell ill. She is also predeceased by her brother, William (Billy) Casey.

Throughout her working years, she spent much of her time as office manager for her husband's business, Penny Electric, but also found time to help families.  She opened her heart and home to several foster children, in addition to running an in-home daycare for many years.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her two sons; John M. (Shawn) Penny of Greer, SC, and Joseph A. (Dara) Penny of Liverpool, grandchildren; Collin, Lily, Zoey Penny and Kayla Gardner; brother, Gordon (Joanne) Casey, sister, Debra Moynahan, sister-in-law, Joyce Penny and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088 with Funeral services to follow at 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.
