Carol Aileen Dieffenderfer, 88, of Liverpool NY, went to be with her Savior Jesus surrounded by her family on August 9, 2025 at St. Joseph's Health Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Born on Christmas day in 1936 in Huntingdon PA to Oscar R. Norris and Dorothy R. Fetter. She received a bachelor's degree in Education from Penn State University and a Master's degree in Reading from Elmira College in NY. She was a teacher, a business owner of The Linen Closet in Owego NY, and active in many other community activities. But most of all, she was a devoted wife and mother to her children. She was a member of Northside Church of Liverpool, Living Waters Baptist Church of Owego, and the Owego Methodist Church. She was a gifted pianist and loved to sing in choirs. She had a great love for the Bible and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with anyone she met.

Carol is predeceased by her husband, James W. Dieffenderfer. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Eugene Norris, three children; James Norris (Mary) of Apex, NC, Paul Alan (Cheryl) of Dawsonville, GA, and Lisa Carol Lysack (David) of Liverpool NY, ten grandchildren; James (Lexi), David (Rebekah), Matthew (Lauren), Kari (Weston), Shannon (Mitchell), Luke (Rebekah), Jeffrey, Sarah, Elizabeth (Jamie), and Jacob (Emily), fourteen great-grandchildren; Joanna, Felix, Michelle, James, Noa, Addlyn, Myra, Sylvie, Everett, Avery, Elliot, Sophia, Elizabeth, and David, four nephews; David and Jeffrey (Lily) Seigworth, Steven and Thomas Norris.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 10:30 am at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
