Carol (Hawks) Duhaime, 79, of Cicero, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Cottages at Garden Grove. Carol was born in Syracuse on December 1, 1946 to the late E. Allison (Sparky) and Marion Hawks. She graduated from Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, NH with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. She went on to work for Contel Communications for 24 years in Liverpool, NY, Rhinebeck, NY, and Concord, NH. In 2001 she and her husband Gerald moved to Bristol, VA.
Carol was an avid cross-stitcher and knitter. She created many beautiful wall hangings. For many years she was an active member of Central Presbyterian Church in Bristol, VA.
Carol is predeceased by her husband Gerald Duhaime, her parents, E. Allison (Sparky) and Marion Hawks, brother, Gary Hawks, sister, Anne Cazzola and nieces, Janis and Lynne Cazzola.
She is survived by her brother, Dana Hawks of Central Square, NY her nieces; Debbie Massa, Patti Losito, Kim Sandino, Kathy Militello, nephew John Cazzola and several great nieces and nephews.
On behalf of Carol, her family would like to thank the staff at the Cottages for their kind, loving care and friendship.
A calling hour will be held Friday, January 16, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088, followed by a funeral service to be held at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Liverpool Village Cemetery in the spring.
