Carol M. Simpelaar, 86, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2026. Born in Syracuse, NY, she was an avid quilter and a member of the Monday Night Quilters for many years.

She is predeceased by her husband, John J. Simpelaar in 1986.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susan Potter; sister, Sharon Lamparella; grandchildren, John (Alyson) Potter, Kirstie Potter, and Sinjin (Serena) Potter; great-grandchildren, Seth, Mikenzi, Lily, Adam, London, Luna as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 10:00 am in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 3494 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. The Rite of Committal and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol’s memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
