Carolyn L.
Funnell-Woods
November 5, 1946 – April 8, 2024
Carolyn Louise Funnell-Woods, age 77, formerly of Liverpool and West Monroe passed away peacefully at her home in Sarasota, Florida on Monday, April 8, 2024.
She was a stay-at-home Mom at 8020 and the loving and devoted mother of her two sons. Carolyn was a retired lifetime member of the Moyers Corners Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary and an avid and enthusiastic hockey Mom. She enjoyed crafting with her mother, socializing with her friends and traveling, seasonal camping and campfires with her husband.
Carolyn "Grandma Toodie" was the proud grandmother of her two grandchildren and cherished the precious time she had with them as much as anything in this world.
Despite being widowed with her two young sons and being stricken with debilitating rheumatoid arthritis at a very young age, she lived her life with a positive attitude and optimistic outlook.
Carolyn is predeceased by her first husband, John Funnell, her mother, Geraldine "Jeri" Louise and her brother, Jack Louise.
Surviving to cherish Carolyn's memory are her loving, devoted husband and life partner James "Jimbo" Woods, her two sons, Mike Funnell and Rich Funnell, her two grandchildren, Brooke Funnell and Jake Funnell and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Carolyn's Life will be held at a future date.
Please sign the Maurer Funeral Home online guest book for Carolyn to express your condolences to her family.
