Catherine G. Mehlek, 80, of Clay, NY passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Catherine was a graduate of St. John the Baptist High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing.  She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years.  Catherine worked at St. Mary's Hospital, Crouse-Irving Hospital and Syracuse Home where she retired from.

Catherine is predeceased by her longtime companion, Carl Russell, three brothers; Peter, John and Donald Gabor, a sister, Maryanne Gabor, and her parents. Peter and Ann Gabor.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Joseph (Marijean) Mehlek of Clay, NY, and Brian (Cathy) Mehlek of Commiskey, IN, daughter, Julianne (Nick Vigliotti) Francey of Clay, 10 Grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 10:00 am in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip Street Liverpool, NY 13088 with The Rite of Committal and burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt, NY.
