Charlene "Char" M. Featherly, 58, of Mt. Dora, Florida, passed away after a short illness on Sunday, May 5, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Charlene was a kind and compassionate person, who would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. This led her to becoming a paramedic where she took pride in the ability to save lives.

Affectionately known as Sis by many, she enjoyed camping, making homemade applesauce and being a friend to everyone she met. She also enjoyed seeing the country while driving for KLLM Expedite with her husband and dogs Skye and Ziva. Charlene is predeceased by her mother, Janet L. Hensen.

Surviving to cherish Charlene's memory are her loving husband of 14 years, Grant Featherly, her father, Cornelius Hensen, siblings; Cheryl (Paul) Fowler, Eric (Mary) Hensen, Adam Hensen, her girls; Jackie Morey, Adriane and Katherine Poehlman, nieces; Heather Hensen, Kaleigh Fowler, Dallas Hensen, nephews; Luke (Alaina) Fowler and Riley Hensen, great nephews and niece, Griffin, Brennan and Nora Fowler and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc., 300 Second Street Liverpool, NY 13088.  A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm.
