Charles "Bill" Aloi, 83, of Liverpool, NY passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025. Bill was born in Olean, NY, on March 3, 1942, the son of the late Francis & Helen (Howard) Aloi.
Bill attended St. Bonaventure University for Engineering, furthered his schooling at Detroit University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Initially, he worked in the Engineering Dept. at Clark Bros. (Dresser Rand) in Olean, NY; and later worked at Carrier Corp. in Dewitt, NY, for 30+ years before retiring in 2004. While employed at Carrier Corp. he wore many hats and headed several Engineering/Company Events, this was one of his specialties.
Upon his retirement, his love for travel kept Bill and his wife, Sharon traveling extensively through Europe many times, as well as throughout the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
Bill's hobbies included horseback riding, gold panning and watching western movies. He always loved the company of family and friends while enjoying some good steak, or when discovering a new local restaurant. He is predeceased by brothers, Ralph and Frank Aloi.
Bill leaves behind his beloved wife, Sharon; children, Chris (Stacey), Kari, Steve, Ross, and Todd (Diane); a brother, John Aloi of Crew, VA. Bill also leaves behind grandchildren, Kali Drake, Cameron Aloi, Colin Dorothy, and Erin Dorothy along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm with a funeral services to follow at 4:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool, NY 13088. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
It is only fitting then to bid Bill farewell as he journeys into another life by saying "HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN".
