Charles "Chuck" Bernard Kamide, 64, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025. He was born in Carthage, NY on September 27, 1960, the son of the late Faye and Leona (Shatraw) Kamide. He attended Augustinian Academy and graduated from Carthage Central in 1978, where he then went on to receive his associate's degree from SUNY Canton and later bachelor's degree in Business Administration from SUNY Oswego in 1982. He married his college sweetheart, Diane Sylves, in 1983.

Charles retired after a successful 38 years as Regional Sales Manager with EVO Merchant Services, and an early career as Banking Officer. He was an active volunteer coach with his sons in youth sports around the Liverpool area, and continued to support the sidelines of Liverpool High School. Charles was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks Club and American Legion, most proud of the Carthage Elks Lodge #1762 annual Shoe Party that provided a new pair of shoes and socks to area youngsters. He enjoyed his time in the slow lane with family and friends on Panther Lake; where he would tell you the same stories in several different variations to make you laugh in the same laughter as the first time you heard it.

He is predeceased by his father, Faye; mother, Leona; and his brothers, Christopher and Andrew Kamide.

Charles is survived by his wife of 41 years, Diane; sons, Nate and Tyler; brothers, Dave, Joe, and John; grandchildren Quinn and Hunter; nieces, Megan Hall, Gabbi Grogan, Alyssa, Sarah and Jennifer Deyo, Katie Jweid, Sarah Lore, Melissa Sylves, and Megan Lewis; nephews, Joey, Jonathan, Christopher and Ryan Moomey.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt. 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 11:00 am in Pope John XXIII Church, 8290 Soule Rd, Liverpool, NY 13090.
