Obituary

Charles "Chuck" H. Lake, Jr., 87 formerly of Schenectady, NY and currently residing in Syracuse, NY passed away on Friday after a short illness.  He was born in Schenectady, NY and worked for General Electric in accounting for 25 years.  Chuck proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1957 to 1961. He married the former Dolores Gazda and after his retirement Chuck and Dolly moved to Largo, FL, living there for 28 years.  Earlier this year they moved to Syracuse to be closer to family.  Chuck was an adult leader in the Boy Scouts. In Florida, he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 17249 and the American Legion. Chuck was also involved in his church choir and the Silly Sinatras singing ensemble.  He is predeceased by his parents, Charles H. and Elvina (DeBarge) Lake, Sr. and his step mother, Anne Mauro Lake.

Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Dolores; children; John (Leslie), Kevin (Kim) and Suzanne Hines, seven grandchildren; Devon, Amirah, Chris, Matthew, Demiah, Kaden and Kyle, three great-grandchildren; A'mella, Vitaly and Kiyel, two nephews and a niece.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 10:00 am in St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, 47 Syracuse Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
