Charles "Roger" LeGrand, 74, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Van Duyn Nursing Home.  Roger was born April 28, 1950 in Little Falls, NY and has lived in the Liverpool area for the past 52 years.  He retired in 2012 from the Jamesville Correctional Facility where he worked as a Correctional Officer for 24 years during which he received accommodations for life saving and great service.

Roger was a 1969 graduate of Little Falls High School in Little Falls, NY.  He had a great passion for Track and Field a sport that he greatly excelled in and enjoyed. He loved cowboy hats, cowboy boots and pipes.  When he wore his cowboy boots, we called him "Tex". His greatest pleasure and what he was most proud of was spending time with his loving family.

Roger was predeceased by his parents, Charles R. LeGrand, Sr. and Catherine Lemche Legrand, and his brother, John LeGrand.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Karen, 2 daughters, Tina (Jason) Eldred and Melissa (Anthony) Cavallaro, son, Rodger (Ani) LeGrand, granddaughters, Brittany Eldred and Gabriella Cavallaro, grandsons, Angelo and Giovanni Cavallaro,  great-granddaughters, Stella and Lena Perry, sister, Robin (Walt) Nichlas, brother, David LeGrand, sister-in-law, Mary LeGrand, brother-in-law, Richard (Sandy) Bacher, niece, Terry (George) Link, nephew, Dickie Bacher and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

The family wants to express a special thanks to the staff on the 3rd Floor North of Van Duyn Nursing Home, especially Enzo and his staff for all the care, kindness and compassion that was received for Roger.
