Cynthia "Cindy" (Bressette) Houde, 79, formerly of Liverpool, NY and currently residing in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was born in Syracuse to the late Frederick and Anna (VanMarter) Bressette. Cindy grew up in Liverpool, graduating from Liverpool High School, Class of 1965. On July 23, 1966 she was united in marriage to Francis H. Houde, a blessed union of 57 years. Cindy worked at W.T. Grants prior to taking time to raise her children. She reentered the work force as an office manager, employed by  AT&T for almost 20 years. After moving to San Deigo, CA in 1999, Cindy eventually retired from the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Moyers Corners Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and Liverpool First United Methodist Church.

Cindy had a passion for upcycling heirloom jewelry into modern angel brooches. She had a talent for other crafting and enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Francis H. Houde and brother, Frederick H. Bressette, Jr.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Kim L. A. (Richard) Girard of Baldwinsville, NY, Marc F. Houde of Fountain Inn, South Carolina and Eric Houde of Liverpool, NY; grandchildren, Kai, Edison, Emma, Annabelle, Iain and Rylie, her sister, Linda M. (Harry) Capria of North Syracuse, NY, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY with funeral services to follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
