Daniel F. Knapp, 65, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away on Thursday at the Francis House in Syracuse, NY. He was born in Syracuse, NY a son of William A. Knapp and the late Marlene G. (White) Venuti. Dan grew up in Liverpool and attended Liverpool High School. He started his career in the construction industry working all around the northeast of the country. Dan then went to work for his family business, Knapp's Lawn Mower Service. On July 5, 2014, he was united in marriage to the former Marcia L. Richter. Dan retired as the Maintenance Supervisor for Candlewood Gardens in Baldwinsville, NY. Dan was a true outdoorsman, whether he was golfing, fishing, boating or out enjoying a ride on his motorcycle. He was a member of The Wood Golf & Country Club, Elbridge Rod and Gun Club and the Powerhouse Gym in Baldwinsville. He is predeceased by his mother, Marlene G. Venuti and his half-brother, Jeffrey J. Venuti.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, Marcia L. Knapp, two daughters from his previous marriage, Lindsay M. Knapp and Rachel L. Knapp, step-daughter, Megan Leahey (Greg McWhir), his father, William A. Knapp, brother, William (Paula) Knapp, half-brother, Joseph Venuti, niece, Jessica M. Stevens, half-nephew, Vito B. Venuti and two great nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Roosevelt Cemetery in Pennellville, NY.
