Daniel C.
Meyers
September 29, 1958 – October 4, 2025
The family of Daniel C. Meyers, 67, of Liverpool, NY, is sad to announce his sudden passing on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Dan was born in Buffalo, NY, to Dan and Mary Lou Meyers. The family soon thereafter moved to Central New York where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Liverpool High School and went on to complete degrees at the University of Rochester and the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona.
Dan was a distinguished and deeply respected member of the community. Motivated by a genuine passion for serving others, Dan devoted his life to creating a meaningful and lasting impact through leadership and volunteerism. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and served three terms as Rotary Club president where his unwavering dedication to service earned him the inaugural Schroeder Award—a prestigious honor recognizing individuals of "…exceptional character, leadership, and commitment to community service." Dan received many other awards, including the Paul Harris Fellow Award.
Dan was also a humble and compassionate individual who touched the lives of everyone he met. Never seeking recognition, he quietly lived a life of purpose, earning accolades for his selfless contributions, many of which he never spoke of himself.
A devoted member of Christ the King Church, Dan faithfully performed duties as a lector and Eucharistic Minister, embodying the values of faith, generosity, and integrity in every aspect of his life.
Professionally, Dan worked as a bond broker, but he was much more than his job title. He meant a lot to his clients, often building relationships. A lifelong learner and avid reader, he had a passionate love for books, history, and current events. He enjoyed engaging in thoughtful, philosophical conversations and was known for his intellectual curiosity, insightful perspective, and ability to connect with others on a profound level.
Dan had a heartfelt love for his family and showed deep devotion to his parents, caring for them during their final years.
He possessed a sharp wit and a strong appreciation for humor. He had a great talent for storytelling. His rich, bellowing laugh was unforgettable and brought joy to everyone around him. Dan will be deeply missed beyond words—but remembered every day in the lives he touched.
He is survived by his sister, Susan (Robert); his brothers, Mark (Tammy) and Paul (Lynne) and his nephews; Joseph, Kevin, Daniel, David, and Harrison, for whom Dan held each a special place in his heart.
