David R. Low, 80, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away unexpectedly this past Monday at Upstate University Hospital. He was born and raised in Buffalo, son of the late Reed and Estelle (Roth) Low. In 1965 David enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, assigned with the Air Antisubmarine Squadron 27. After serving his country, he  previously resided in Albany, NY and Texas before settling in Syracuse, NY. On April 9, 1994 he was united in marriage to the former Joan M. Watson. David worked in the family business as a sales representative for Syracuse Safety Lites in Syracuse. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan and also enjoyed watching the Syracuse Chiefs and Crunch. Most of all, David loved spending summers at Ontario Shores in Pulaski, NY on Lake Ontario. He was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Liverpool. David is predeceased by his brother, Peter Low and his sister, Marcy Arnold.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Joan M. Low; his children, Gregory Low, Elizabeth Low Schrader, Jennifer Burdick, Kathryn (Scott) Millar, J. Michael (Carol) Butler; his grandchildren, Caitlin (Cody) Stalik, MacKenzie Low, Mikayla and Brendan Kanoza, Skye Schrader, Jackson Millar, Chloe, Charlotte and Paxton Butler; great-granddaughter, Caydence Stalik and his sister, Carole Ferrick. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 10:00 am at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
