Denise M. (Monsour) Tarbell, 56, of Syracuse, NY passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Upstate University Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, a daughter of Norena (Smith) Monsour and the late George Monsour. She was united in marriage to Radford R. Tarbell, Sr., a blessed union of 26 years until his passing in 2014.

Family was the focus of Denise's life. She was happiest when everyone was together, especially when she was cooking her famous meatballs. She had a heart of gold, but would also set you straight with tough love if needed. Denise loved all fur babies and claimed all of them as her grandbabies, loving Dutch, Molly and Birda. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. Denise will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Jamie Tarbell (Jennifer Bender) of Syracuse, NY; daughter, Tina Monsour (John DePasquale) of Liverpool, NY; step children, John (Rena) Tarbell, Adam (Joanne) Tarbell, Daren Tarbell and Robert Tarbell; her mother, Norena Monsour of Syracuse, NY; 8 grandchildren, Dominic Hanson-Tarbell, Josephine DePasquale, John DePasquale, Jr., Jamie DePasquale, Jackon DePasquale, Shayla Bender-Pickering, Brittany Bender and William Bender; 2 great-grandchildren, Zander Pickering and Radford Pickering; brother, Frank "Frankie" Monsour of DeWitt, NY; sister, Trina Squires of Ilion, NY; niece, Angel Monsour and 3 nephews, Jeffrey Monsour, Zach Squires and Todd Squires.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. Funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
