Obituary

Dennis H. Ayling, 78, of Liverpool, NY passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.  Dennis was born January 26, 1946 to Leslie and Izetta (Hunter) Ayling. He graduated from RIT in Rochester, NY with his bachelors in Manufacturing Engineering and retired in 2011 from Lockheed Martin in Liverpool, NY.

Dennis was an avid golfer, golfing three times a week. He was always on the lookout for a new and better course and was a member of Olde Oak.  He loved basketball, Buffalo Bills, action movies and gaming.  He enjoyed visiting his hometown of Chautauqua and family parties where he was the official picture taker.  He bought his current home in Liverpool because of the beautiful lake view that reminded him of his hometown.  He also enjoyed apple-pie with cheese, char-grilled chicken wings and no bake cookies, but especially his salt!

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Marlene (Waterstraat) Ayling of 45 years who truly cherished the time she had with him (I love you, Marlene); his children, Paul (Heather) Ayling of Lyncourt, NY, Susan (Timothy) Colabufo of Liverpool, NY, Dennis Ayling, Jr. of Newport News, VA and Scott (Jennifer) Ayling of St. Louis, MO; a sister, Phyllis Palmer of Mayville, NY; seven grandchildren, Lillian, Wesley, Megan, Haley, Mason, Sophie and Josh and several nieces and nephews.
