Dolores T. (Martinez) Collard-Oakes, 84, of Oswego, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday May 10, 2026 at Oswego Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, NY, where she was raised and educated. Dolores was the owner of Dwyer Shoe Store in Northern Lights before opening and operating Basic Things Wholesale Distributing Company in Syracuse, NY. She was a parishioner of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse, NY. Dolores’s true love and joy in life were her husband Robert, her three daughters and grandchildren. She is predeceased by her first love, husband Robert Collard in 1995, her parents, Joseph and Lottie Martinez, her two brothers, Joseph and Richard Martinez and her second husband, Charles Oakes.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Dolores (Gary) Macconaghy of Baldwinsville, NY, Valerie (Steven) Strong of Granby, NY, Kelly (Kenneth) McConnell of Liverpool, NY, four grandchildren, Roberto, Alex, John and Michael, great-grandson, Killian, two brothers, Raymond and Gary Martinez, many nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, Dolores chose to privately spend her final stage of her life in the loving care of the nurses and staff at both the Manor at Seneca Hill and Oswego Hospital.

Services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dolores’s memory can be made to the Manor at Seneca Hill.
