Donald J. Cosper, 92, of Liverpool, NY, formerly of Indian Rocks Beach, FL passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. He was born January 19, 1929 in Elmira, NY to the late Daniel D. and Margarite G. (Converse) Cosper. After graduation, at the age of 17 he enlisted in the US Army. He proudly served his country in Germany during World War II and received a victory medal. In 1950 Donald enlisting in the US Air Force, serving during the Korean War. Also, he was a Captain in NY Guard. He was employed as a Service Tech for Pitney Bowes, Syracuse, NY for 34 years before retiring. Donald enjoyed being an amateur radio operator, which is also known as ham radio (N2FAR). Donald was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Winifred (Collier) Cosper and daughter, Karen Cosper.
Surviving to cherish Donald's memory are his four sons; David of Liverpool, NY, Daniel of Rochester, NY, Peter of Liverpool, NY and Christopher (Annemarie) of Liverpool, NY, a granddaughter, Heather Cosper of Liverpool, NY and a sister-in-law, Barbara Collier of St. Petersburg, FL.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, Baldwinsville, NY. There will be no calling hours or services. Burial for Donald will be held privately in Woodlawn National Cemetery, 1825 Davis Street, Elmira, NY 14901.
