Obituary

Doris Knickerbocker, 65 of Liverpool passed away on Thursday, at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. A lifelong resident of Liverpool, Doris graduated from Liverpool High School, then going on to earn her Licensed Practical Nursing degree and for the next 28 years worked as an LPN for Dr. Ronald D'Amico, DPM. While Doris was a native to village life, she and her family living in the same house she grew up in, her interests spanned everything from her love for her horse Epona as a young rider, canning vegetables for her family, tending her flower gardens, caring for the family dogs and cats to helping her husband and sons process the venison from the annual hunts. Her proudest moments were always related to her decision to accept Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and the family God had blessed her with. Doris showed her love by not only spending time with those she loved but feeding them her newfound dinner or dessert recipe. She always found enjoyment worshipping through music or volunteering for a church event. She enjoyed a hardy laugh as well as a deep discussion about placing her trust in Jesus. Her church family was a key part of her life as a 30 plus year member of Temple Baptist Church, Baldwinsville. Doris is predeceased by her parents, Carlton and Clara Chorley and her brother, William Chorley.

Surviving to honor Doris's memory are her husband, Mark Knickerbocker, sons, Jonathan and Christopher Knickerbocker of Liverpool and daughter, Cayla Knickerbocker of North Syracuse; siblings, David (Sharon) Chorley of Canastota and Cathy (Paul) Morse of Cleveland; along with several nieces and nephews.
