Edith L. (Gross) DeLong, 86, of Clay passed away peacefully at home on Sunday.  Edith and her husband, Robert, were dairy and vegetable farmers for 50 years.  Edith loved spending time with her family, making beautiful quilts, watching her birds and for many years, fostered kittens for a local animal rescue.

Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Robert, in 2017 and grandson, Asa, in 1996.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children; Margo (Randy) Reynolds, Robert (Susan) DeLong, Annette Schreyer, Stacy DeLong and Bryon (Lisa) DeLong, grandchildren; Adam, Kevin, Eric and Caitlin, great-grandsons, Henry and Franklin and her loving kitty, Willy.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. The funeral and burial will be private for the family.
