Elaine Wilkie, 95, of Liverpool, NY passed away peacefully on Friday. Elaine was born February 9, 1925 in Greenfield, Massachusetts and was an only child to Marguerite and Alvin Wright. Elaine attended Syracuse University where she met her husband, John, who passed away in 2017.

Elaine had several teaching jobs but spent 30 years as a kindergarten teacher for the Liverpool Central Schools at Soule Road and Longbranch Elementary School.  John and Elaine enjoyed many years of retirement on the golf course in Hobe Sound, Florida. Elaine was a natural poet, a proud teacher and a person who put her family first. She was a faithful member of the Liverpool First United Methodist Church.

Elaine is survived by her three sons; Craig (Eileen), Bruce (Carol), and Keith (Mary Kay) Wilkie and daughter Joan (Michael) Erickson, seven grandchildren; MacGregor (Nathalia), Meghan, Katlyn, Zachary, Lauren Wilkie, Jonathan and Brandon Erickson; and one great grandchild, Blaise Wilkie.

Private burial will take place at the Liverpool Village Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all of Elaine's caregivers for their special care and for bringing joy to Elaine over the final years. Because of you, our mom was able to live at home where she found the most comfort.
