Elizabeth G. (Peters) Easter, 73, formerly of Liverpool, NY and currently residing in Tarpon Springs, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 21, 2024. She was born in Syracuse, NY the daughter of the late Lewis Charles and Christine (Babinec) Peters. She grew up in Liverpool and attended Liverpool High School. Elizabeth enjoyed a career as a Licensed Beautician. She owned and operated Now Liz Coiffures Salon in the Village of Liverpool. Additionally, she work for many years at Twin Trees on Avery Ave in Solvay.
In 1998, Elizabeth fulfilled her dream to move to the sunshine state of Florida and spend time on the sandy beaches and see dolphins which she adored. She would begin her second career as a hostess at the Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club. It was here that Elizabeth met her loving partner Thomas Smith and extended her family to include his children Michelle Portwood, Desiree Collis, Patricia Smith and Jonathon Smith as well as several more grandchildren. Elizabeth would conclude her career as the Food and Beverage Director at the Dunedin Golf Club.
Elizabeth enjoyed golfing, bowling and winning on the bingo circuit. She enjoyed watching and cheering on her Syracuse Silver Knights (now Utica City FC) which she was a part owner in the team. Most of all her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren as they pursued their interests. Elizabeth's family always came first and was the driving force for all her efforts and love during her time with us. Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband, William Easter and her sister, Linda Winahradsky.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her two sons, Douglas (Cheri) Taylor of Baldwinsville, NY and Randall (Susanne) Taylor of Memphis, NY, four beloved grandchildren; D.J., Justin, Andrew and Ryan, and her sister, Karen (Dale) Stubblefield of Salisbury, NC and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088, with Funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm. The Rite of Committal and burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
Contributions in Elizabeth's memory can be made to an animal shelter of one's choice.
