Eloise M. Corbett (Mc Williams), 87 of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Eloise was born and raised in Baldwinsville along the Seneca River. She married and had a family in Liverpool, N.Y. not far from her childhood location along the river.
Eloise, after raising her children, worked at West Side Manor, and then owned and operated "Breakfast, Lunch, Etc." restaurant in Mattydale famous for her Bran Muffins. Eloise landed at the Town of Salina Comptroller's Office and stayed for 11 years. She continued to work part time as the Records Clerk well into her 80's. Eloise enjoyed spending winters in Zephyrhills, Florida and returned to Liverpool to enjoy the summer and to travel with her family and friends. She also was an active member of the Liverpool American Legion Post 188 Women's Auxiliary since 1981. Eloise as the treasurer, was involved with all of it's fundraising events.
She is predeceased by her parents, John A. and Katherine R. McWilliams; brother, John and sister, Annette Grabowski.
She is survived by son and wife, Jay and Ellen Corbett; daughter, Colleen Gunnip; brother and wife, Robert and Cindy McWilliams; sister, Elaine Corbett; sister-in-law, Toni McWilliams; grandson, Joseph Gunnip and wife Kylie; great- granddaughters, Josie and Goldie Gunnip; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Eloise was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her family and friends came first! You always knew she was looking out for you and would help you in any way she could. She will be greatly missed but forever in our hearts!
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 10:00 am in Catholic Family of Epiphany Church, 1001 Tulip St. Liverpool, NY. The Rite of Committal and burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Liverpool American Legion Unit 188 – ALA, 5490 Miller Road, Apt. 109, Brewerton, NY 13029.
