Obituary

Ernest J. Brown, 93, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Wednesday at home. He was born in Erieville, NY and grew up in Morrisville working on the Family farm. Later, Ernest went to work for GM in Syracuse before he pursued his passion for the building and construction business. He became a legend in the field of framing and remodeling, with his three sons, putting construction quality 1st, and eventually opened two businesses, E.J. Brown & Sons Contractors, Inc. and Damier Development Corp. in Liverpool.

He is predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Beverly and his son, David.Surviving to cherish his memory are two sons, Michael (Shirley) and Timothy, three daughters, Cheryl, Sandra (Terry) Hanchett and Carrie (John Skrobis), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sister, Janice DeGroat and several nieces, nephews and their families.

Calling hours will be on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second St. Liverpool, NY 13088. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow in Kingdom Road Cemetery, Van Buren, NY.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ernest's memory can be made to the CNY SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Road, Syracuse, NY 13211.
