Ernest W. Kuhn, 89, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 in Orlando, Fl. He was born in Syracuse, NY, son to the late Ernest Kuhn and Margaret (McArdell) Klein. Ernest was raised and educated in Syracuse, graduating from Assumption Catholic High School. After school, he served in the Air Force National Guard and the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962. Known for his stylish plaid shirts and argyle socks, he and his beloved wife Dorothy laid the groundwork for E.W. Kuhn Electric, a highly regarded and respected Electrical Contracting Business, for over 30 years. Longtime residents of Liverpool, NY, they spent many wonderful times at their summer home in Sackets Harbor, NY and wintering in Lake Mary, Florida.

Survived by the love of his life, Dorothy (Luce) Kuhn, they would have celebrated their 68th anniversary on August 30, 2026. Loving father to four sons, William (Helena), Gregory (Karen), Kenneth (Gail), Dennis (Jodi), and his daughter, Shelley (Ikram) Ahmed. Also surviving are his siblings, Sue Ellen McCombie, Gary (Diane) Kuhn, Linda (David) Delong, Karen (Kevin) Hynes and Vernon Klein Jr., beloved aunt "sister" Catherine "Kay" Mussi, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with the Rite of Committal and burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
