When he wasn't working, Floyd enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He especially enjoyed spending time at their camp at Kasoag Lake and after selling the camp, he relaxed during the winters at their home in New Port Richey, FL.

Floyd will be remembered as a wonderful adoring husband, caring and loving stepfather and an extremely dedicated Papa (known to attend every wrestling, football, soccer & cheerleading event throughout the years).  Family was everything to Papa, always making sure he put everyone first.  Floyd is predeceased by his wife, Frances (Gridley) Hammond, his parents, Floyd and Mildred (Hamlin) Hammond and his brother Edward Hammond.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughters, Dale (James) Sotherden of West Monroe, NY and Carol (Lynn) Jones of Pennellville, NY; a son, David (Tracy) Cosilmon of Cicero, NY; his cousin, Candace (Glen) Hindley; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
