Obituary

Frank G. Eierstock, 87, of Liverpool passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021.  Frank was born in Mineola, Long Island. At the age of eight, his family purchased a farm and moved to Cobleskill, NY. Two weeks after graduating Cobleskill High School, Frank enlisted in the US Air Force. His military career began with basic training in New York. Upon completion of basic training, he was transferred to Wyoming, where he joined the Motor Pool. Frank's first deployment was to Guam during the Korean War; then to England where he met and married the love of his life, Catherine. They were stationed together in France, Mississippi (where he entered the field of Radar), then Michigan. In 1964, Frank's second deployment took him away from his family to Vietnam, then Thailand; his third deployment took him and his family to Germany, they returned stateside to Mississippi (where he entered the field of computer technology), then to Newburgh, NY, with his last transfer to Hancock Field AFB in North Syracuse, NY.

Frank retired after 20 years of military service with the rank of Tech Sergeant E-6 and settled in Liverpool, NY.  His civilian life began as a Civil Field Engineer/Supervisor with Northern Telecom. Frank had a zest for technology and continued his education in Electronic and Television Engineering, Communications Electronics, and Computer Programming. Frank was recognized as a Top Tester with Intuit Beta Department for providing outstanding feedback during the Beta Test for Quicken for Windows 99 and Quicken 6 for Windows (Gonzo) in 1996.

Frank was a Master Mason, having been a member for over 50 years. He was a proud veteran, having served in both the Korean War and Vietnam War; he loved his country, his flag and his family. He especially enjoyed spending winters at their condo in Bradenton, Florida, golfing, traveling, family get-togethers and dinners.  Frank is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Margareta Eierstock.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 63 years, Catherine, and his son, Frank (Anita) Eierstock, daughter, Theresa (Vincent) Marzullo, granddaughter, Christina (Edgardo) Gonzalez, great-granddaughter, Victoria Gonzalez, sister, Margaret Eierstock, niece, Sharon Rebecca and nephew, James Young.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc., 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.  Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt, NY.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at the VA Medical Center, as well as their friends for the support and love they have shown during this difficult time.
