Frederick V. Gaylord, 81, of Clay, NY passed away on Wednesday.  Fred worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Clay Highway Department for 30 years before retiring.  For many years he adored working alongside his wife, Carole on their family farm.  Fred enjoyed farming, hunting and gardening.  He is predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Carole Jean Gaylord who passed away on February 17, 2018 and his parents, Verion and Edith Gaylord.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his children; Michele (William) Moore, Kathleen (James) Elmore, Rebecca (Thomas) Bookman, Valerie Gaylord (Michael), and Frederick V. (Melissa) Gaylord, Jr., 10 grandchildren; Michael, Destiny, Joshua, Holly, Justin, Elissa, Erin, Nathan, Jenna and Jaxson and 4 great-grandchildren: Jeremiah, Carson, Wyatt and Ada.

Funeral service will be private.  Burial will be in Pines Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY 13041.
