Obituary

Frederick A. Willis, 76, of Liverpool, NY passed away at home on Wednesday, with family at his side. He was born in Syracuse, NY a son of the late Arthur and Mary (Muir) Willis. Fred grew up in the Syracuse area, later settling in Liverpool. He attended Paul V. Moore High School, class of 1965. After graduation he was united in marriage to the former Corinne Dibble, a blessed union of 56 years. Fred enjoyed a 47 year career with Napa Auto Parts in the Syracuse area retiring as the Eastern Division Store Operations Manager. He loved spending his summers boating on the St. Lawrence River, commonly known as "Captain Fred" or "River Rat". Fred will be remembered as a loyal, hardworking family man with a great sense of humor. He was an active parishioner of Catholic Family of Epiphany Church in Liverpool. Fred is predeceased by his sister, Marcia Schroeder and two brothers, Raymond Willis and infant Roy.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Corinne D. Willis, his daughter, Amy W. (Michael) Wojcikowski, his son, Matthew F. Willis (Jodi Argyle), best Papa to his five grandsons; Caleb, Jack, Nolan, Ian and Aiden, several nieces, nephews and his beloved canine companion Molly.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in Catholic Family of Epiphany Church (formerly St. Joseph the Worker Church), 1001 Tulip St. Liverpool, NY 13088, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:00 pm. The Rite of Committal and burial will be private in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.

The Family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Graziano and the Upstate Cancer Center for their care and compassion displayed towards Fred.
