Fredric L. Brough, Sr., 78, of Liverpool, NY, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Upstate University Hospital.  Fred was born in Carbondale, PA and has lived in Liverpool for the past 55 years.  He retired in 2000 from the U.S. Defense Department where he worked as Chief of the Technical Services Division for 33 years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Fred was a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Electronics, International Correspondence School and attended Onondaga Community College. He was a member of the CNY VVA Chapter 102 and was instrumental in working as their Webmaster.  He was a former Cub master of Pack #65 in Liverpool, and a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop #65 Father's Association.  He enjoyed sailing, collecting antique typewriters & cameras.  He loved keeping busy with projects around the house, but most of all spending time with his loving family.  Fred was a thoughtful person, displaying his kindness and bravest to all and his family meant everything to him.  He was a true gentleman.

Fred is predeceased by his son, Fredric L. Brough, Jr. who died June 24, 2023 and his brother, Sydney Brough.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Ann, 2 daughters; Stacie Brough of Onondaga Hill and Joyce (Mark) Cardone of Liverpool, grandchildren; Stephen, Jocelyn, Emily and Holly Cardone, sister, Ann Foster, sister-in-law, Iris Brough and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St. Liverpool, NY 13088.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 10:00 am followed by Interment in the Liverpool Village Cemetery.
