Georgia M. (Bull) Gartland-Hoke of Liverpool, NY died on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the age of 94. Born in Syracuse January 21, 1930, to George and Elizabeth (Wilson) Bull, she lived most of her life in North Syracuse. Graduated at age 16 from Solvay High School, she began working at NY Telephone Company as a long distance operator and throughout her life worked at various full and part-time jobs, including several years at the Federal Credit Unions of Hotel Syracuse and Syracuse University and 13 years in Federal Civil Service at Hancock Field and Farmers Home Administration. After retiring, she continued to work at several sites through the County Dept. of Aging, 17 years for NYS Green Thumb Environmental at NYS ESF and NYS DEC in Syracuse, finally retiring at age 87.

She was a charter member of NAVAC, serving as secretary, a member of the publicity committee, and an EMT. She had many interests, was an avid reader and crossword puzzle buff and especially enjoyed being with her family. She is predeceased by her husband, Truman Hoke, in 1988, and her siblings, Dorothy Rauch, Marjorie Peterson and Dr. Harvie Bull.

Surviving are daughters, Gail (John) Loucks of Liverpool and Gini (Brian) Carlson, of Virginia Beach, VA; sons, Glenn (Judith) Gartland of Cincinnati, OH and Gary (Michele) Gartland of Central Square; grandchildren, Amy Gartland, Alicia (Michael) Kelly, Tanner (Meghan) Gartland and Kyle (Olivia) Carlson;  great-grandchildren, Liam and Rory Gartland, Riley Carlson, Quinn Kelly, Aubrey Jane Carlson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088, with funeral services at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.  Following the services burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
