Gerald T. Frateschi, 72, of Baldwinsville went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Monday. He was born in Syracuse where he was raised and educated. Gerald continued his studies attending Onondaga Community College. After school he joined the US Navy for two enlistments, totaling 7 years as an Ocean Systems Technician, Petty Officer 1 ^st Class. While serving his country, he met the love of his life, Beverly E. Holdridge, a blessed union of 51 years. Together they came to Liverpool, NY and have resided in Baldwinsville for the past 20 years. Gerald retired from the United States Postal Service in the Syracuse area. He will be remembered as a generous and loving soul to his family and friends. Gerald was an active member and volunteer at Grace Evangelical Covenant Church in Clay, NY, volunteered for Teen Challenge in Syracuse and loved watching sports. He is predeceased his father, John Frateschi.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Beverly E. Frateschi, his son, Steve, daughter-in-law, Naomi, his beloved granddaughter, Nora (who he adored and enjoyed spoiling), his mother, Elaine Frateschi, two brothers; John (Julie) Frateschi and Robert (Lisa) Frateschi, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at a future time and date to be announced.
