Our beautiful mother, Gloria T. Lyman, crossed over to the angels on August 31, 2024. Gloria was born in Suffern, NY on April 21, 1925 to Ada (Ackerson) Thompson and Edson Leo Thompson.

Gloria was our strong, resilient, loving matriarch. She was married to Ralph B. Lyman on April 11, 1948. Some might consider it impulsive to jump into marriage after two dates. Perhaps, but their union endured for 60 years until Ralph's passing in 2008.

She is predeceased by husband, Ralph, brothers, Edson and Robert, sisters, Della and Eleanor and son-in-law, Brendan Donohue.

Gloria will be missed by her loving and blessed children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include; daughters, Carol (Peter) Bissonette, Susan (Joe) Andrews, Lynda Lyman, Judith Donohue, son, Ralph D. (Christine) Lyman, grandchildren; Amelia (Peter) McMullen, Ralph Richard (Jess Torregrossa) Lyman, Zoe Kim, Benjamin Donohue, great-grandchildren; Austin and Hailey McMullen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Fly high, Mom, and hug Dad for us.

Services are private. Interment will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
