Helen (Bennett) Rossi, 87, of Liverpool passed away peacefully on Sunday. She was born in Dexter, NY a daughter of the late Claire L. and Margaret (Greenizen) Bennett. Helen was raised in Syracuse and graduated from Eastwood High School. It was there she met her high school sweetheart, Frank E. Rossi, a blessed union lasting 71 years. After raising her children, Helen went to work as a school bus driver and monitor for Liverpool Central School District. She loved her daily interaction with the kids, learning all their names. For 31 years, she truly cared about the children she drove back and forth to school. Helen enjoyed sewing, playing Bunko and had a true love for animals. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is predeceased by her sister, Gail Harrison.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Frank E. Rossi, of Liverpool, NY, three sons; Geoffrey B. (Aunruan) Rossi of Vestel, NY, Andrew C. Rossi and James M. Rossi both of Liverpool, NY, 4 daughters; Margaret "Peggy" (James) Simpson of Syracuse, NY, Florence Herasimtschuk of Saratoga, NY, Cynthia (George) Wetherby of Palmyra, NY, Christina (Mark) Riedhammer of Carlsbad, NM, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother, Raymond (Nancy) Bennett of Waco, TX, two sisters, Barbara Crawford of Anderson, NC and Judi (Robert) Hoose of St. Louis, MO, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc., 300 Second Street Liverpool, with Funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm.
